Senior Outreach Services
Senior Outreach Service (SOS) is a government-funded program providing assistance to persons aged 60 and older. Free services are available to all seniors residing in the Towns of Amherst, Clarence, and Newstead. The Senior Outreach staff is trained to identify and coordinate all available community and government services, thus eliminating much of the “red tape” that can cause frustration to seniors and their caregivers. Some of the services provided by Senior Outreach include, but are not limited to, case management, assistance with applications for government programs, and linkage with community services such as home delivered meals and transportation services. A representative from Senior Outreach is at the Clarence Senior Center on Friday mornings 9:30 - 11:00 am. You can call the SOS office at (716) 636-3070 Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
